Nicole Krausher has been a full time Registered Massage Therapist in the lower mainland of B.C. since 2014. She recently moved to Whitehorse where she hopes to challenge herself with a new practice and enjoy a new vibrant community! She channeled her passion for health and wellness through becoming an RMT; graduating from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy where she gained extensive clinical training and a proficiency treating patients with a wide variety of conditions.
Utilizing previous experience as a volunteer crisis line counselor, Nicole combines highly tuned listening skills, clinical experience and current research to prioritize patient concerns and provide individualized and comprehensive treatment plans. Her interest in the biopsychosocial model of health care, therapeutic massage, pelvic floor rehab, manual therapies and movement-based interventions come together to facilitate connection and to restore the body to its optimal functioning. She is dedicated not only to relieving the symptoms of pain & dysfunction, but also identifying and treating the underlying cause. She is always keen to adapt and expand her knowledge; empowering her patients through education and encouraging a proactive lifestyle.
Nicole enjoys reading all things related to the human condition! She is fascinated with the complex interconnections of the human body and how these connections translate into an experience of either vitality and health, or pain and disease. She believes that a greater physical and mental awareness of these connections will lead to overall well-being and an optimal level of function. On the other hand, postural habits, overuse, disease, stress, injury, trauma, and surgery can lead to pain, decreased mobility and ill-being.
In her spare time Nicole is very passionate about food and cooking. She enjoys challenging herself with Pilates, Yoga and getting outside for hikes like the Chilkoot and West Coast Trail! She’s looking forward to meeting the residents of Whitehorse and helping them Be Well!
